Mergers and Acquisitions Attorney 

We are seeking a highly qualified M&A associate to work in our Kansas City office. The M&A associate will have 3 - 6 years (classes 2018 - 2021) of experience working on complex public and private company mergers and acquisitions and drafting definitive transaction agreements, as well as managing all other aspects of a strategic transaction. Experience with either private equity, joint ventures, venture capital, capital markets, corporate governance, or securities law compliance matters will be considered a plus. All candidates should have industry knowledge in the financial, industrial, energy, technology, and/or life sciences sectors. Interested candidates must possess a high level of academic achievement, Am Law 100 firm experience, and superb writing and communication skills. Missouri State Bar is required.

Real Estate Attorney 

We are seeking a mid-level associate for our Real Estate Practice Group at our Kansas City office. The ideal candidates will have 3 - 6 years (classes 2018 - 2021) of real estate experience, including experience working on acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development projects, construction, real estate finance (borrower side preferred), and/or leasing. Interested candidates must possess a high level of academic achievement, Am Law 100 firm experience, and superb writing and communication skills. Missouri State Bar is required.

Intellectual Property Attorneys 

We are currently seeking to hire mid-level associates in Kansas City to join our Intellectual Property practice group and work on intellectual property and commercial transactions for technology companies. Our ideal candidates will have 3 - 6 years (classes 2018 - 2021) of experience in structuring, drafting, and negotiating a variety of intellectual property and commercial transactions, including licensing, service, development, distribution, advertising, and partnering agreements. The associates must also have experience working on either mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financing, or other transactional work. Superior academic credentials, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are also required. Missouri State Bar is required.

Patent Litigation Attorney 

We are seeking a patent litigation associate to work out of our Kansas City office. The ideal candidate will be a mid-level associate with 3 - 6 years (classes 2018 - 2021) of experience with patents and related complex technology litigation. The ability to assist with taking and defending depositions is a plus. Candidates with a Master's or Ph.D. in biology, chemistry, engineering, or a similar life sciences field are required. Superior academic credentials and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required. Missouri State Bar and admission to the USPTO are required.

Corporate Finance Attorney

We are seeking a mid-level Corporate Finance Associate to join our Corporate Finance Practice Group at our Kansas City office. Our ideal candidate will have ‎3 - 6 years (classes 2018 - 2021) of extensive finance transaction experience with a primary focus on leveraged finance and structured finance experience at an Am Law 100 firm. Specific experience to include representation of lenders and/or borrowers in connection with single-lender and syndicated credit facilities, securitization transactions, venture lending transactions, asset-based lending, leveraged buyouts, corporate recapitalizations, and reorganizations. Ideal candidates will have borrower-side and/or private equity experience. Interested candidates must possess a high level of academic achievement, solid law firm experience, and well-developed problem-solving, writing, and communication skills. Missouri State Bar is required.

Real Estate Finance Attorney

We are seeking a mid-level associate for our Real Estate Practice Group at our Kansas City office. The ideal candidates will have 3 - 6 years (classes 2018 - 2021) of commercial real estate finance experience with an emphasis on representing lenders, including experience working on acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, development projects, and construction. All candidates must have experience representing balance sheet lenders in complex syndicated and non-syndicated real estate secured lending transactions. Interested candidates must possess a high level of academic achievement, Am Law 100 firm experience, and superb writing and communication skills. Missouri State Bar is required.

Trademark Attorney

We are seeking a highly-qualified and motivated mid-level associate for our Intellectual Property & Trademark Practice Group in Kansas City. Ideal candidates will have 3 - 5 years (classes 2019 - 2021) of experience in U.S. and international trademark clearance, copyright counseling, and prosecution. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings experience are required. Superior academic credentials, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are also required. Missouri State Bar is required.

All candidates must be in the top 25% of their graduating class and graduated from one of the top 50 U.S. law schools.

The annualized salary range for all positions is $225,000 - $435,000, based on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience permitted by law, e.g.; (education, training, and responsibilities).
