Commercial Litigation Associate

We are seeking a mid-level/senior-level associate to work out of our Sydney office. The mid-level/senior-level candidate will have 3 - 8 years (classes 2016 - 2021) of strong complex commercial litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions, researching, drafting pleadings, and handling large-scale document productions. The associate must have international investigations and global disputes experience. Experience with civil/criminal antitrust, securities, class actions, arbitrations, environmental, or corporate governance litigation is helpful but not required. The ability to handle Royal Commissions and Parliamentary inquiries, as well as investigations and enforcement actions by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC), Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), law enforcement and various corruption investigation bodies are a major plus. Superior academic credentials from a top 50 U.S. or international law school, Am Law 100 firm experience, and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required. New South Wales (NSW) Bar is required.

Education

All international candidates must be in the top 25% of their graduating class and graduated from one of the top 50 U.S. law schools, top U.K. law schools, or top international law schools. 


Work

All international candidates must have worked for a well-known law firm unless noted otherwise in the job description.
