Data Security Solicitor

Our U.K. practice group is seeking to hire a mid-level solicitor to join our London office. The data security candidate will be a mid-level qualified solicitor with 4 - 6 years (classes 2018 - 2020) of experience handling privacy and cybersecurity issues in the context of complex technology transactions, including significant mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, other multidisciplinary transactions, advertising agreements, service agreements, e-commerce agreements, and other commercial transactions. Experience with GDPR and UK GDPR compliance projects, international data transfers strategies, data breaches and cybersecurity incidents, corporate transactional privacy, contract negotiation, litigation before national courts and the European Court of Justice are required. Experience with M&A, technology transactions, or other transactional work is strongly preferred, as is familiarity with computer programming, network technologies, database design, and web technologies. Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification is a plus. Superior academic credentials, Am Law 100 firm experience, excellent oral fluency in English, and written and interpersonal skills are required. Proficiency in other European languages is beneficial. EU qualification and Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) practicing certificate is required.

Capital Markets Solicitor

Our U.K. practice group is seeking to hire a junior/mid-level solicitor to join our London office. The junior to mid-level Capital Markets solicitor will have 3 - 5 years (classes 2019 - 2021) of capital markets experience, including IPOs, debt-equity offerings, and corporate governance compliance. The solicitor should have a background in U.S. SEC compliance and disclosures, and general ‘34 Act reporting. Spoken and written fluency in English is required (fluency in French, Spanish, and/or Italian is a plus). Superior academic credentials from a top 50 U.S. law school, Am Law 100 firm experience, and written and interpersonal skills are required. Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) practicing certificate is required. New York State Bar is required.

Education

All international candidates must be in the top 25% of their graduating class and graduated from one of the top 50 U.S. law schools, top U.K. law schools, or top international law schools. 


Work

All international candidates must have worked for a well-known law firm unless noted otherwise in the job description.
